Fans tuning in for the show’s quick wit and brazen dialogue won’t be disappointed as Hank and Charlie, along with seemingly everyone in the movie business, rattle off as if they’re swearing on commission.
What I love about Californication dvd box set is that I often have a hard time knowing how to feel about Hank Moody. On one hand, he’s the anti-hero. Far from perfect and often the victim of his own crimes, there’s a part of me that wants to see him get what he has coming to him. The quality of the writing is as fresh and clever as ever, as is the acting. What’s more, the story moves forward without drifting into completely unfamiliar territory.
In Californication season 4 dvd box set, Hank treads water just above personal ruin and far below his own potential. While it certainly makes for a believable character, I take issue with the fact that the show expects us to sympathize with him. There’s no more character development to be found in the series’ lead – it’s time to either introduce a game-changing element or give us a look at the other players.
The fun of Californication lies as much in watching Hank try to get his life together as it does in seeing him let it all fall apart when temptation proves to be too great to resist. You will love the show!
