Extraordinary Ending for Excellent Brothers and Sisters

01/18/2012

Brothers and Sisters DVD 1-5 was a family show, and I think it was a family that put it together. Starting from Robbie Baitz, who created it. His creation and his imprint on the family have lasted all the way through to the finale.

Kevin and Scotty had finally created this family that they always wanted, so we were looking forward to telling the story of a gay family with two kids and what that means in terms of the world that we live in today. There was always the possibility of trying to think of that series ending [with] big drama in the Brothers and Sisters DVD box set.

Something tells us the producers knew the season 5 finale would likely be the series finale when they ended it with Nora quoting George Eliot in voiceover at Sarah’s wedding — “It’s never too late to be what you might have been” — and dancing to Lady Gage’s “Born This Way.”

In Brothers and Sisters Season 5 DVD, Luc and Sarah's (Rachel Griffiths) wedding is upon them. Yet, Sarah had just discovered that Brody (guest star Beau Bridges) is her biological father. And while she wanted nothing to do with him, Nora (Sally Field) continues to see him.

Whether we get married or not, you'll see. Sarah Walker is massively disappointed with her mom. She feels like she has no identity. She feels lost about who she is. She's very depressed, because of that. She has to get married, so again changing her identity somehow. It's very deep for her.

We lost Rob Lowe, we lost Holly (who I liked when she was evil; less so when they tried to make her sympathetic), we lost Rebecca, and now Kitty wants out and Rachel Griffiths sounds increasingly exasperated with her job. The final scene of Brothers and Sisters DVD box set was legitimately pleasant, with the whole family coming together at Sarah's wedding, dancing happily, free of hijacks and Walker drama.

Brothers and Sisters are an excellent show with and extraordinary ending. I think the finale is great though we hope they can offer us the reunion in the spring. Easydvdmart.com provides you lots of dvds online australia and enrich your tea time!
