One moment she's pleading with Stefan to change plans because Damon is in danger; the next second she's telling Stefan how worried she was that Klaus might kill him. She's torn. We get it. That's fine. It's even interesting when woven well into ongoing, overarching storytelling - but it's now become tiresome, shoved down our throats in what feels like every other scene.
There are several other problems as well. The first is that because Rebekah drained Damon of all the vervain in his system, Klaus is able to compel him to tell him how many white oak stakes there are left.
So Stefan and Elena lose their last remaining weapons that can kill the originals. But there is an even bigger problem, the last remaining stake is with Alaric and he blacked out, went into his psychotic-serial killer- alter-ego mode and hid the stake.
The cast and characterization straight across the board are particularly great. There's something magnetic about every last member of The Vampire Diaries' ensemble, and no weak links leap out at me.
There's certainly an effort to keep them even-keeled. There's something likeable or sympathetic about most everyone. Each character has some sort of glaring flaw as well, and that includes Elena and Stefan.
The discs also holds some short segments, including a nine-minute piece titled "Her own worst enemy ... Elena, Katherine, and Nina," which highlights Dobrev's ability to be a bad girl and a good girl--sometimes very quickly--and do them both well. "The Perfect Love Triangle: Vampires, werewolves, and witches," lays out the different relationships in The Vampire Diaries Seasons 1-2 dvd.
I have a feeling there are going to be a couple more twists headed our way and I can’t wait! What's your thoughts of the two seasons? The Vampire Diaries tv series dvds for sale is waiting for you now!
