Boardwalk Empire is an American television series from cable network HBO. The show tells chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson, the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, who was equal parts politician and gangster.
Boardwalk Empire dvd 1-2 opens in the year 1920 with a group of bootleggers who are smuggling Canadian Club whiskey from Canada into the United States being ambushed by two armed men in ski masks. Two days earlier, Atlantic County treasurer Nucky Thompson is the keynote speaker at a Women's Temperance League rally on the eve of Prohibition.

I got so hooked with the episode 1. The romance, the power, the story and actors are so great! Loving Nucky Thompson's role, powerful yet a woman can still find his soft spot <3 Can't wait to see the next season.
i think this is a great show. i enjoy watching it. Jimmy's character really drew me in this season. When I saw the very first episode of season 1, I wondered why they had chosen Michael Pitt to play Jimmy, but the last few episodes of season 2 showed me why. recommend to u
it is not my taste. just so so. i love comedy..
it definitely feels as though this show will be a winner. its got incredible writing and the actors are superb. so far the stories are very engaging and i will be sticking around 'til the end of the season.
Everything about this show is outstanding - acting, writing and directing! The actors are also perfect, really talented. Set and clothes are absolutely amazing.
